Eugénie Modai grew up in a family of artists, thrives in a creative environment. Her passion for exquisite materials and the enchanting power of colour dives her for she firmly believes that a magical harmony is created when they are combined.

Self-taught and free spirited, she embarks on a journey of shaping various pieces little by little, gradually nurturing her desire which is to create an alternate universe. This desire gravitates around the singular medium which has captivated her since childhood: cotton lacquer. Her whimsical works which are full of joy stem from a profound contemplation of diverse aspects of life. 

Since 2018 she has had her studio in Sèvres, which is where she has dedicated all her time to bring forth what is most deep within her through the art of sculpture.
