Born in 1982, Adrien Belgrand lives and works in Paris. 

With a focus on the concept of time, Belgrand uses painting to document the present and to comment on contemporary life in order to display its permanence. His perspective and manner of framing allow for him to present ideas of stillness and suspension of time. Through these concepts, the artist encourages the viewer to recognise the beauty in the mundane events of everyday life. Building upon his snapshots of daily life, his contemporary still lifes also introduce an attention to the human presence.
