Born in 1970 (France), Michel Platnic lives and works between Tel Aviv and Berlin. 

His photographic and video constructions serve as exploratory attempts for using the human body as a vehicle for liberation. The body, very often working with his own for the preliminary work, is invited to move around within a created space, to discover the area as a dwelling which embodies a realm of possibilities. These created spaces enhance a tangible reality through intertextuality and recognisable references, yet it is merged with a fictional framework that distorts and surpasses traditional paradigms. In this realm, the body is met with the thrilling potential of freedom, severed from hierarchies and traditional systems of values.
